Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking an Avionics Technician III to lead installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems. This role includes mentoring junior technicians and ensuring regulatory compliance within the IAS business area.

The position involves working on ISR and aviation programs with opportunities to contribute to design, integration, test, and training activities while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of relevant avionics experience.
• Advanced knowledge of avionics systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and maintenance of avionics equipment.
• Diagnose and repair complex avionics issues.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of avionics systems.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately.
• Ensure compliance with FCC, FAA, and company standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
