Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic V to lead large-scale maintenance projects and develop comprehensive maintenance protocols. You will serve as a subject matter expert, liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure safety and compliance across DoD, DHS, and international customers.

The role requires an FAA A&P certification, 7+ years of relevant experience, and willingness to deploy to CONUS/OCONUS locations. Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Proficiency in repairing, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• Will to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
