Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Platform Systems Engineer for the Special Operations Aviation (SOA) helicopter programs. You will perform PSE activities, create design artifacts, execute tests in the lab, and contribute to cockpit avionics integration on complex upgrade programs.

Travel up to 10% is required. The role offers opportunities to mentor engineers, interface with customers, and advance avionics development within the Military Avionics group.

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Experience within a Systems Engineering role.

Responsibilities

Perform Platform Systems Engineering activities for SOA helicopter programs, including design artifacts, test procedures and lab testing.
Complete avionics work across cockpit systems for SOA programs.
Lead bids & pursuits, following Collins Processes for SOA programs.
Lead customer discussions alongside program chiefs and architects.
Design system solutions ensuring integration of Collins products in upgrade programs.
