Job summary

Canyon AeroConnect in Prescott, AZ, is hiring a Service Technician Lead – Radio (Electronics/Avionics) to guide daily technician activities, ensure FAA Part 145 compliance, and lead troubleshooting of avionics systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on avionics/electronics troubleshooting, repair, testing, or installation experience, including 1–2 years of technical leadership.
• FAA A&P certificate preferred, or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Working knowledge of FAA Parts 43 and 145.
• Knowledge of electronics theory, schematics, hardware, diagnostic data, and electronic test equipment.
• Proficiency in soldering and surface‑mount component repair.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and train, coach, and mentor technicians.
• Willingness to learn and apply TOC, Lean, Takt Time, and bottleneck management.
• FCC license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Service Technician activities to support safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery.
• Provide technical direction, assign and prioritize work, mentor technicians, and ensure FAA Part 145 compliance.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and repair of avionics/electronic equipment.
• Coordinate parts, tooling, and calibrated equipment availability; work with QA to resolve constraints.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement in line with TOC/Lean.
