Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics Integrator to join the Crewed Lander team within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will lead integration studies, define interfaces, and drive avionics architecture while coordinating with NASA and partners. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving are essential as we advance safe human spaceflight.

The role emphasizes collaboration in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality, safety, and mission success in a pivotal spaceflight program.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical subject area.
  • 8+ years in full life cycle avionics development including requirements, design, integration, test and operations.
  • Deep experience integrating spacecraft or high criticality subsystems (Avionics, Software, Structures, GNC, power).
  • Ability to define and manage communication protocols.
  • Understanding of electrical digital/analog interfaces (Serial, Video, Audio, Ethernet, analog sensors).
  • Strong systems engineering practices, integration processes, and safety-critical systems.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication; able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional trade studies to optimize spacecraft design.
  • Contribute to avionics architecture studies, concept development, verification planning, and integration.
  • Manage avionics requirements development, definition, and maturity.
  • Develop and manage avionics ICDs and data/communication budgets.
  • Create and maintain integrated electrical architecture diagrams.
  • Coordinate constraints across disciplines and manage design changes.
  • Identify, assess, and manage technical, schedule, and cost risks.
  • Develop tools for maintaining electrical configuration and definitions.
