Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician to supervise a team of technicians in Cahokia Heights, IL. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics systems, with direct customer contact and accountability for project flow.

The position requires extensive experience with aircraft electrical and electronic systems, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical tech school.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to produce timely results of the highest quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate work flow for the project and supervise daily tasks.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft systems before and after modification.
• Process work orders, pricing, and FAA paperwork for customers.
• Provide ground and flight test support as needed.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Lead multiple projects independently with strong drive and initiative.
