Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians in delivering top-quality electronics and aircraft systems work. The role focuses on supervision, troubleshooting, and coordination of project flow with direct customer contact.

The position requires strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems, plus experience with FAA forms and log books. On-site at Chattanooga, TN.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Electrical tech school attendance or certification.
Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality avionics work.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and instrument systems on aircraft.
Supervise workload, schedule projects, and coordinate with the Avionics Repair Manager.
Process work orders, log FAA paperwork, and communicate with customers.
Independently lead multiple projects and provide training/mentoring.
Ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery in a hangar environment.
