Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, TN, to lead a team, oversee avionics work, and ensure compliance with FAA requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical and avionics systems and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time and on-site in Chattanooga, with expectations to mentor staff, coordinate schedules, and deliver high-quality results for our customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance/avionics with supervisory responsibility.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork and work orders.
• Experience supervising four or more technicians.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, timely avionics work.
• Oversee work orders, log books, FAA forms and customer billing.
• Coordinate interdepartmental project schedules and workloads.
• Mentor and train technicians on projects.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on aircraft avionics systems.
