Job summary

SOGECLAIR in Wichita, KS seeks a Systems Engineer with a BS in Electrical/Electronics/Systems Engineering and 5+ years of experience to design aircraft systems and develop modifications. You will create technical documentation and support certification activities for FAA, TCCA, and EASA standards.

Applicants should be familiar with ARP4754A, DO-178/DO-254/DO-160, and possess strong communication for cross‑functional collaboration and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Systems Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with ARP4754A for civil aircraft development and systems.
• Working knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to coordinate with suppliers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop system designs, aircraft modifications, and technical documentation such as requirements, schematics, and test plans.
• Review installation drawings, qualification data, and test reports to ensure compliance.
• Analyze ground and flight test data to verify system performance and functionality.
• Support change management through research, design reviews, trade studies, and impact analysis.
• Facilitate internal/external design reviews and program governance sessions.
