Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Maintenance Inspector in the United States to manage quality control tasks and ensure adherence to FAA regulations and the company’s RSQCM and customer maintenance programs.

The role requires an A&P license or Repairman Certificate, extensive inspection experience, and the ability to supervise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. WSA emphasizes safety, accuracy, and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with Airframe and Powerplant license or Repairman Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• Extensive experience in maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations with part 43.
• Proficient in using inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.

Responsibilities

• Review technician assignments and sign-offs to ensure adherence to authorizations.
• Perform front-line checks of maintenance activity to verify compliance with AMM, RSQCM, and GMM guidelines.
• Verify MEL procedures and ensure proper tagging and documentation.
• Carry out aircraft final walk-around and release with attention to areas disturbed during maintenance.
• Communicate with customers and provide updates; coordinate with tech support and MX Net status.
