Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Technician with a strong foundation in networking and a passion for AV technology, home automation, and lighting control systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is inquisitive, takes initiative, and is excited about continuous learning and growth. The Lead Technician will be entrusted to manage installations independently based on scope of work and will be a key player in ensuring project success on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Execute AV and home automation installations, including Savant and Control4 programming, lighting control setups, and network deployments.
  • Build, wire, and configure racks to a high standard of quality and organization.
  • Configure and deploy networking solutions, including managed switches and Wi-Fi systems.
  • Serve as the lead technician on job sites, ensuring work is completed efficiently, correctly, and professionally.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with creativity and adaptability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and skillsets.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge of network infrastructure, including managed switches, Wi-Fi deployment, and network troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Savant, Control4, and lighting control systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to wire and build equipment racks to a professional standard.
  • Initiative-driven with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to remain calm and solutions-oriented in high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptable, inquisitive, and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while effectively collaborating with the team.
  • Years of experience are flexible — aptitude and willingness to learn are paramount.

Compensation
