Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. seeks an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks on contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, equipment wiring, and rack fabrication.

The role may lead installation crews per project directives, coordinating with the Project Manager to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction goals. Day-to-day duties include site leadership of Level 1 Technicians, reading schematics, using hand and power tools, testing systems, and

Qualifications

• Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of wiring configurations and signal flow for AV.
• Knowledge and use of test equipment for required applications.
• Knowledge of industry installation safety codes and standards.
• Ability to lead site teams on smaller projects.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform AV installation tasks per project scope.
• Lead Level 1 Technicians on smaller projects.
• Read schematics and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble and wire components.
• Test cabling and system functionality.
• Track equipment and tools on site.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and customers on site.
• Travel to various job sites.
