Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Installation Technician 2 to perform installation tasks on contracted projects, including cable pulls, terminations, rack fabrication, and wiring. The role may involve leading installation crews on smaller projects following project directives and reporting progress to the Project Manager to ensure time, scope, and budget alignment.

Travel to multiple job sites is required. A minimum of 2–4 years in audiovisual installation, along with knowledge of AV systems and safety

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Capable of independent work to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer literacy for job documentation.
• Knowledge of AV wiring configurations and signal flow.
• Familiarity with test equipment used in AV systems.
• Understanding of industry installation safety codes and standards.
• Ability to lead site teams on smaller projects.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation tasks and client training as per project scope.
• Lead Level 1 Technicians and oversee work quality.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Use tools to install, solder, and crimp connectors.
• Test cabling and verify system functionality.
• Track and manage equipment on site.
• Coordinate with office for returns and RMA processes.
• Report daily site status to Project Manager.
• Direct on-site changes to Project Manager for approval.
• Coordinate with other trades on site.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
