Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Lead Technician in Florence, SC, to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and mentor a team to improve customer care and satisfaction.

You will diagnose, repair, and explain technical issues, participate in ongoing training, and pursue ASE certifications within two years. The role offers a flat-rate pay model with regional-rate variations and a commitment to fair compensation.

Qualifications

• Brake diagnosis/repair experience.
• Alignment and suspension diagnosis/repair skills.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair knowledge.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Clearly explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train other technicians in technical tasks.
• Aim to obtain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within two years; tests paid by the company; bonuses for tests passed.
