Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and to coach a team toward higher customer care and efficiency. This role offers pay range in a performance-based flat-rate model reflecting region-specific earning potential.

You will mentor technicians, maintain certifications, and participate in ongoing paid training while performing hands-on diagnostics and repairs across brakes, alignment, and tire services.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems.
• Engine repair; Engine performance; Automatic transmission/transaxle; Manual drivetrain/transmission; Automotive heating/AC.
• 5 years of automotive repair experience; ASE certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid training.
• Assist and train technicians as needed.
• Work toward ASE certifications with company support.
