Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses operating difficulties on a variety of vehicles and performs operational checks on engines and major subsystems.
• Performs computerized and electronic diagnostic tests and interprets trouble codes using service manuals and wiring schematics.
• Conducts road tests before and after maintenance and repairs; annotates vehicle problems on work orders.
• Assigns and schedules work for technicians; maintains vehicle maintenance records and labor hours.
• Provides technical guidance to mechanics on difficult repairs and in the use of diagnostic equipment.
