Job summary

Via Mobility Services in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a Lead Mechanic to lead a small team and manage fleet maintenance. You will order parts, perform tune-ups, diagnostics, DOT inspections, and repairs across brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and wheelchair lift systems.

The role requires extensive mechanical experience or ASE certification, the ability to supervise others, and a valid driver’s license. Tools are your own, and a Monday–Friday day shift is offered with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age or older.
• 10+ years of mechanical experience in gas and diesel repairs or ASE Certification
• Associates Degree in Automotive Technology OR 2-year apprenticeship with 5+ years of experience in lieu of 10+ years
• Must obtain ASE Certification within 1 year of employment.
• Experience in all phases of vehicle maintenance.
• Strong background in diagnostics.
• Valid Driver's License for past 2 years.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug testing, and MVR checks.
• Able to perform physical requirements.
• Must possess own tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanics: oversee parts ordering for fleet and perform tune-ups, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Perform DOT inspections, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and wheelchair lift adjustments.
• Supervise and motivate other mechanics to maintain high fleet performance.
