Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Lead Mechanic in Massachusetts to guide lower level technicians in repairs and inspection techniques, ensuring high reliability of our fleet. You will oversee mechanical work, contribute to start-up and maintenance planning, and promote safety in daily operations.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, motor/gearbox changes, monitoring performance, and participating in technical and safety training programs.

Qualifications

  • Three years of transportation mechanic experience.
  • High school diploma.

  • Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems, CAD programs, e-mail, calendar, and spreadsheets.
  • Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs.
  • Covers operations and maintenance positions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
