Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, programming, and deployment of high-volume automated manufacturing systems. You will own medium-to-large projects from initial 3D CAD modeling through to PLC/Robotics programming, mentoring junior staff, and final factory floor release.

Responsibilities include leading machine design in SolidWorks, integrating PLC/HMI architectures, and applying Lean Six Sigma or SPC training to improve yield, costs,

Qualifications

BS in Engineering + 7+ years in high-volume production.
Proficient in PLC programming (Ladder Logic/Structured Text) and HMI development.
Hands-on with 6-axis robotics, sensors, and complex mechanical controls.
3D CAD modeling with SOLIDWORKS preferred.
Autonomy to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
Experience with YuMi, Denso, or Fanuc robots; vision systems Cognex, PPT, DVT.
Background in the Consumer Eyewear Industry.
Lean Six Sigma or SPC training.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design, programming, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Own medium-to-large projects from CAD through PLC/Robotics programming.
Troubleshoot equipment to improve yield, costs, ergonomics and safety.
