Job summary

Perrigo Bronx site is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the automation team, maintain and expand PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on improving reliability, data integrity, and manufacturing efficiency within a cGMP environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing automation projects, collaborating with IT for OT security, and guiding modernization roadmaps for control systems and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of automation, controls, or manufacturing systems experience.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or cGMP manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Automation team, set priorities, and allocate resources to support production goals.
• Serve as site owner for manufacturing and packaging automation systems; develop and maintain standards.
• Provide technical support for downtime events and lead root-cause investigations.
• Drive capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements within the site.
• Collaborate with IT on OT cybersecurity, network architecture, and system integrations.
