Job summary

Perrigo is seeking an Automation Technician for the 3rd shift in the Bronx area to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automation and control systems across manufacturing, packaging, facilities, and utilities. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, BMS, robotics, and vision systems to maximize safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in automation and 3–5 years of industry experience, with familiarity in GMP environments and data integrity processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience supporting industrial automation in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, BMS, instrumentation, drives, networks.
• Experience in FDA-regulated environments and GMP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and support automation, controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical support for packaging and manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and approved modifications to PLC, HMI, SCADA, and automation applications.
• Support automation platforms and related technologies including vision systems, serialization, robotics, and UR.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and system integrators as needed.
