Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of automation and controls experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Ownership of automated manufacturing systems in a cGMP environment.
• Drug Product automation experience supporting aseptic or sterile manufacturing.
• ISA-95 Level1/Level2 with PLC/DCS, SCADA/HMI, batch or sequence control.
• Hands-on automation experience with Bausch+Ströbel aseptic filling equipment and SKAN isolator and decontamination systems.
• Strong Siemens S7-1500 and TIA Portal programming skills; Beckhoff controls and Stäubli robotics experience
• Ability to explain and troubleshoot container flow, aseptic processing, and environmental controls.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% during project phases.

Responsibilities

• Own the filling line automation requirements and functional design.
• Review Bausch+Ströbel and SKAN specifications, control narratives, interface definitions, and close gaps between equipment packages and site systems.
• Develop, review, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI/SCADA applications for container handling, dosing, fill weight control, stoppering and closure, and line sequencing.
• Diagnose Beckhoff motion and Stäubli robot interfaces in partnership with equipment specialists.
• Own the interfaces between the Bausch+Ströbel filler and the SKAN isolator, e‑beam, decontamination, and material transfer controls.
• Lead automation FAT/SAT and commissioning; support installation and qualification activities.
• Implement and troubleshoot interfaces to MES, AVEVA PI, environmental monitoring, and reporting systems.
• Maintain software baselines, configuration records, and technical documentation.
