Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, located in Wilson, North Carolina, seeks an Automation Engineer for Drug Product aseptic filling to own the automation/controls scope and drive end-to-end delivery. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, CSV, OT Infrastructure, MES, and system integrators to ensure compliant, robust automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive automation and controls engineering in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Direct ownership of automated manufacturing systems in a cGMP environment.
• Experience with ISA-95, PLC/DCS, SCADA/HMI, and MES integration.

Responsibilities

• Own automation/controls scope for Drug Product aseptic filling.
• Lead FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
• Coordinate with OEM/system integrators to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure data flow to MES, historian, and data platforms.
• Review designs and ensure compliance with site automation standards.
