Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to enhance the quality, reliability, and speed of software delivery. You will own test automation for core revenue features, evolve frameworks, and collaborate across Engineering to embed quality in the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of test automation or quality engineering experience; bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination
• Led medium to large scale projects and mentored QA Engineers
• Hands-on experience developing test automation scripts in Java and JS (UIRunner, Playwright or similar)
• Expertise in Java and JavaScript and understand product code
• Experience with CICD methodologies and tools like Jenkins
• Experience with Web Services/API testing
• Familiarity with test engineering tools such as JUnit, Selenium WebDriver
• Knowledge of MySQL and Cloud (AWS bonus)
• Hands-on with JIRA, Git, IDEs, Debuggers, Profilers
• Experience designing test cases and test scenarios
• Strong communication across teams and ability to coordinate cross-team efforts
• Hands-on with AI tools to accelerate work and share with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver test automation scripts in services to validate and ship core product features
• Provide oversight for features through code/design reviews
• Lead evolution of test automation frameworks from the ground up
• Advance testing methodologies toward a CICD model
• Drive testing and coordinate with scrum teams on bug tracking and release
• Leverage AI tools to multiply productivity and quality
