Job summary

Buffalo Rock Company is hiring a Warehouse Shift Lead for the Central Hub in Birmingham, AL. The role leads the automated case-picking operations, coordinates the Vertique system, and ensures on-time order dispatch while maintaining safety standards and efficient workflow.

The position requires supervising EPs, training staff on SOPs, and coordinating with the Warehouse Supervisor to meet daily targets. Regular hours Mon-Fri, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a distribution/warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience with automated picking systems, shipping inbound/outbound, inventory control preferred.
• Must have forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with warehouse management systems as applicable to distribution operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of automated case picking system and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
• Lead Vertique system operations and load team Employee-Partners.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and optimize workflow for safety and efficiency.
• Enforce GMPs, cleanliness, and housekeeping in Central Hub areas.
• Coordinate with Shift Lead and cross-functional teams to meet daily goals.
• Assist Operations Manager in daily start-up meetings and KPI tracking.
