Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Supervisor for Reconditioning Services. You will lead vehicle inspections, manage shop workflow, ensure equipment and training, and report progress to the operations manager.

The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and efficient production in a fixed Cox location. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of related experience, strong supervisory and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum: HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience in vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; valid driver's license; ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Preferred: knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; strong people, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the inspection of vehicles.
• Managing the workflow and activities of shop employees to ensure timely completion.
• Ensuring employees have proper equipment and training.
• Communicating goals, results, and problems with the operations manager.
• Assisting the manager in monitoring employee performance and conducting appraisals.
• Using management tools to track production and post charges.
• Leading by example and ensuring respectful treatment of employees.
• Monitoring and controlling supplies, materials, and equipment in the recon shop.
• Enforcing company policies and procedures related to conduct.
