Job summary

Glass America in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Lead Auto Glass Technician with 7+ years of hands-on installation experience to guide a team of technicians, oversee complex repairs, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will mentor technicians, perform calibrations (static and dynamic), coordinate with management on scheduling, and uphold outstanding customer service as a brand ambassador for Glass America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on auto glass installation experience with complex repairs and calibrations.
• Advanced knowledge of OE calibration systems; static and dynamic calibrations.
• Proven mentoring or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee complex auto glass installations, repairs and calibrations to industry standards, in-shop and mobile.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to team members.
• Lead daily operations, mentor technicians, and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with management to monitor workflow, scheduling, and issue resolution.
• Maintain knowledge of tools, adhesives, calibration systems, and OE procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-scans, interpret data, and guide others in doing the same.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and timely for calibrations and customer paperwork.
• Be a brand ambassador delivering outstanding customer service.
