Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Lead Auto Maintenance Technician to supervise and assist technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles across gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric systems. You’ll mentor apprentices, uphold safety, and ensure quality aligned with manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
• Advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting skills, and repair capabilities.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and repair management systems.
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technicians in diagnosing vehicle mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Provide guidance on complex repairs, troubleshooting procedures, and diagnostic strategies.
• Assist technicians with difficult repair situations and technical problem solving.
• Serve as the shop’s subject matter expert on vehicle repair procedures and best practices.
• Ensure repairs meet company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and maintain gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles as assigned.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of repairs.
