Job summary

Manheim, part of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Lead Maintenance Tech to oversee auto repair operations, mentor junior techs, and ensure quality across service lines. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will diagnose complex issues, perform clutch/transmission work, and coordinate with teammates to meet service goals. ASE training and ongoing development are supported.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performing the responsibilities of a level 1 - level 3 auto tech.
• Carrying out a wide range of repairs including brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, and AC.
• Performing advanced diagnostics and complete repairs.
• Clutch and transmission replacement.
• Coordinate with other techs to assess vehicle needs.
• Provide guidance or train associates as needed.
• Quality control checks and notifying supervisor of issues.
• Ensure maintenance SOPs are followed to deliver outcomes.
• Identify development opportunities in staff and monitor workflow.
• Review and approve ordering and disposition of parts and materials.
