Job summary

Crash Champions is hiring an experienced collision repair technician to inspect damaged vehicles and plan efficient repair processes in a high-volume shop. The role involves coordinating with teammates, performing quality repairs, and deciding between repair and replacement based on safety, cost and cycle time.

Responsibilities include disassembly, exposing damaged areas, maintaining on-time status, and guiding apprentices. Regular safety meetings and adherence to standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a frame machine and perform repairs per vehicle manufacturer specs.
• I-CAR welding certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience supervising assistants or apprentices in a shop setting.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring data accurately.
• Certification in body repair is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Wères and communicates status of vehicle repair with team.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Makes repair vs. replace decisions considering safety and cost.
• Removes upholstery and components to access areas for repair.
• Participates in safety meetings and maintains shop standards.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs an apprentice and explains procedures when needed.
