Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled Body Technician for our Penn Hills location. You will examine damaged vehicles, plan the repair process, and work with teammates to keep repairs on schedule while meeting safety and quality standards.

You will perform repairs, handle door/frame removal as needed, apply finishes, and guide apprentices. Certification in body repair and I‑CAR welding credentials are highly regarded; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a frame machine.
• I-CAR welding certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates repair status with team.
• Performs quality repairs and maintains on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and related components to access areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power or hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice when needed.
