Qualifications

• Frame machine proficiency required.
• Body repair certification preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to analyze and interpret measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair to maintain on-time status.
• Communicates with team on repair progress and status.
• Performs quality repairs with safety and efficiency in mind.
• Decides whether to repair or replace parts based on safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Accesses vehicles by removing upholstery and components as needed.
• Attends all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds and sands repaired surfaces with power/hand tools.
• Directs apprentices and explains procedures when needed.
