Job summary

Crash Champions is hiring a skilled body repair technician to inspect damaged vehicles, plan efficient repair strategies, and execute high-quality fixes. The role requires frame machine operation, knowledge of OEM repair processes, and I-CAR welding certification.

You may supervise junior staff and must pass a background check. The position offers a commission/flag-rate pay structure with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, a 401(k) with match, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicle and plan repair process.
• Communicate with others on repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status.
• Decide on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, electrical components, and trim to gain access to areas.
• Participate in safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice when needed.
