BMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements for a diverse client base. You will work directly with clients to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is expected.
• 3-5+ years of public accounting experience focused on audit/assurance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion.
• Prepare and review workpapers and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Mentor junior staff and manage multiple client engagements.
• Conduct internal control and risk assessments to identify improvements.
• Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to clients.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues.
• Ensure engagements comply with standards and deadlines.
