Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services is seeking an Audio Visual Systems Support Technician to maintain and troubleshoot multimedia systems across campus classrooms and spaces.

Qualifications

• As described, two years of experience in skilled construction and maintenance of AV equipment or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with planning, construction, repair, and renovation of classroom technology systems is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or support roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, and support AV equipment and control systems in classrooms.
• Provide technical assistance for planning and renovation of classroom technology.
• Support Liberal Arts Classroom Help Desk operations.
• Identify faults in AV systems and repair them.
• Assist faculty and classroom users with multimedia and computer systems.
• Train and supervise student employees providing technical support.
• Provide on-call technical support outside normal hours.
• Assist with inventory management in Liberal Arts technology spaces.
