Qualifikationen

• D.V.M. or equivalent from AVMA-accredited college.
• Five years of progressive experience in laboratory animal medicine or related field.
• Ability to obtain a Texas veterinary license.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the Attending Veterinarian for assigned System members.
• Provide veterinary oversight for animal care and use programs.
• Deliver clinical veterinary service including diagnostics, treatments, preventive medicine, and emergency care.
• Coordinate with institutional personnel to ensure adequate veterinary care.
• Develop, review and implement SOPs, guidelines, and policies for animal care and use.
• Evaluate animal care programs and provide veterinary recommendations.
• Communicate with leadership regarding veterinary and animal welfare matters.
