Job summary

Zoetis, Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Global Animal Behavior to lead enterprise-wide behavioral science efforts. This role drives the scientific foundation for welfare, enrichment, and stress reduction across sites, translating research into practical programs and standards.

It leads three technicians and one scientist and partners with veterinarians, IACUCs, and AW leadership globally. Ideal candidates will have DVM/VMD with DACVB or eligibility, or a relevant PhD, and 8+ years in animal

Qualifications

DVM or VMD from AVMA-accredited institution.
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (DACVB) required or active board eligibility.
Ph.D. in animal behavior, comparative psychology, or behavioral neuroscience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Provide global scientific leadership in animal behavior and welfare across sites.
Develop and maintain a framework for behavioral welfare assessment and enrichment.
Translate research into practical programs and standards to reduce stress and improve welfare.
Lead a team of three behavior technicians and one behavior scientist.
Partner with veterinarians, researchers, IACUCs, and Global AW leadership to advance program goals.
Oversee design and delivery of behavioral intervention programs and data collection.
