Job summary

Cognito Systems seeks a Lead Athletic Trainer to join the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Ft. Wainwright, Fairbanks, AK.

You will lead the Brigade Athletic Training team, advise on injury control and performance optimization, and coordinate with H2F partners to execute Soldier-focused training initiatives. The role requires a CAATE-accredited education, BOC certification, a state license, and five years of AT experience, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in athletic training or related field.
• CAATE-accredited program graduate; BOC certification passing.
• Unrestricted state license/registration to provide healthcare within AT scope.
• Five years of athletic training experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Background check and immunizations, current physical.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Brigade Lead Athletic Trainer and advisor on injury control and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with Brigade H2F teams to support training programs for Soldiers with and without physical limitations.
• Ensure education and guidance to Soldiers and Brigade leadership aligns with training calendar.
• Prepare and present the AT overview briefing for new soldiers in-processing.
• Maintain equipment, track supplies, and report deficiencies to Brigade Program Director.
• Attend meetings with Brigade leadership and H2F team members; participate in program reviews and continuous improvement.

Education

Master’s Degree in Athletic Training

CAATE-accredited program

BOC certification (passing score)

Unrestricted state license/registration in any US state
