Job summary

Cognito Systems, a joint venture with Planned Systems International (PSI), is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Ft. Wainwright in Fairbanks, AK.

This role blends clinical care with performance optimization to improve ACFT outcomes and soldier readiness. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will deliver injury prevention, acute management, and rehabilitation while leveraging CIMT tools to track progress and reduce injuries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required from CAATE‑accredited program.
Passing score from the BOC for Athletic Trainer.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) in place.
Unrestricted state license/registration/certification to practice Athletic Training.
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to pass background check and drug screen; current immunizations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team (PTs, strength coaches, dietitians, cognitive experts, OTs).
Deliver prevention-focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for MSK injuries.
Engage in performance optimization across physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual domains.
Support unit leaders with evidence-based strategies to reduce injuries and improve readiness.
Leverage CIMT‑developed data/tools to track and improve performance outcomes.
Improve soldier performance, ACFT pass rates, and resilience across the force.
