Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Lead Associate to join our fastest delivery operation in the San Francisco metro area. You will support, train, and supervise team members, manage inventory and product flow, and ensure safety and efficiency across multiple sites within 10 miles of the primary Operations site.

Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, onboarding new associates, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items.
• Able to work a flexible schedule/shift including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 2+ years of production, warehouse or leadership experience, or 1+ years of Amazon experience.
• Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution setting.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Experience providing peer-to-peer feedback and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Support, motivate, and model desired behavior for the rest of the team.
• Manage operational processes, safety, quality, performance, and customer delivery promises following the Regional Area Manager guidance.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized workspace.
• Provide ongoing training in areas including system and equipment knowledge and quality training.
• Provide feedback on processes and standards, serve as escalation point, train, deploy labor, and ensure breaks and lunches are observed.
• Maintain a key to the site and adhere to opening/closing procedures.
• Handle a wide assortment of products including produce, meat, seafood, and alcoholic beverages.
• Receive truck deliveries; collaborate with associates and delivery partners for smooth operations.
• Participate in associate onboarding and ensure product workflow processes are executed consistently.
• Perform front-line duties as needed and contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience.
