Addison Group seeks an Assistant Controller to lead a small accounting team in a fully on-site Bellevue, WA environment. You will oversee US/Canada general accounting, ensure timely financials, and drive process improvements across systems and reporting cycles.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in senior accounting roles, mentoring experience, and strong Excel and ERP know-how. This role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and collaboration with treasury, tax and auditors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
• Experience mentoring team members.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and motivate staff of three accountants including hiring, training, cross-training, goal setting and performance appraisals.
• Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting for the U.S. and Canada General Accounting functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and analytical reports, including quarterly tax and external reporting packages.
• Review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and perform account analysis.
• Review department expenditures and analyze variances between budget and actual results for monthly flash.
• Assist with forecasts and annual budgets; support system initiatives to reduce cycle time.
• Coordinate quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors for SEC filings.
