The role focuses on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance, with leadership over a small staff and collaboration with external auditors.

The position supports month-end/year-end close, fixed assets, partner accounting, and tax processes, while driving internal controls and process improvements in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop staff; establish clear responsibilities and accountability.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with billing, accounts payable, payroll, and tax teams to ensure accurate data.
• Manage monthly and year-end closing and financial statements; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax-related activities; prepare schedules and responses.
• Assist in annual budget and forecasts for accounts under supervision.
• Develop and maintain internal process documentation and guidelines.
