Job summary

You will monitor police scanners, manage tips, and collaborate with producers, reporters, and editors to push timely updates to anchors and audiences across TV and digital channels.
Qualifications
- Experience listening to police scanners.
- Experience with digital platforms, especially social media.
- Knowledge of FTP or willing to learn FTP video transfer.
Responsibilities
- Listen to police scanners across multiple agencies.
- Gather and organize press releases, emails, calls, tips; select compelling content for newscasts.
- Assist news management with content gathering and planning.
- Support producers, digital editors and reporters with story gathering.
- Track field crews and communicate locations and needs.
- Post content to digital platforms and push alerts on social media.
