• Experience listening to police scanners.
• Experience with digital platforms, especially social media.
• Able to monitor multiple social media accounts and gather content.
• Maintain professional relationships with newsmakers.

Responsibilities

• Listen to police scanners and identify compelling content for newscasts.
• Gather and organize press releases, emails, calls and viewer tips.
• Assist news management with content gathering and planning.
• Assist producers, editors and reporters with story gathering.
• Keep track of crews in the field and coordinate communications.
• Post content to all digital platforms, including push alerts and social posts.
