Job summary

Aerotek, located in Mesa, AZ, seeks an Assembler to perform complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies in a modern, air-conditioned facility. You will guide junior assemblers, follow prints, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

The role is contract to hire, with first shift 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday, plus mandatory overtime on Fridays. Expect physical work lifting up to 35 pounds and on-site safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Experience on an assembly line and general production environments.
• Proficient in mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Skilled with power and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes in manufacturing.
• Advanced troubleshooting in a production setting.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
• Ability to follow prints and SOPs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies per prints and SOPs.
• Work on an assembly line contributing to production and meeting daily output targets.
• Use power and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Coach and train lower-level assemblers on techniques, safety, and quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards during assembly.
• Perform final quality inspections and testing to verify conformance.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts and materials for assembly.
• Suggest continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve design/manufacturing issues.
