Job summary

Aerotek is seeking entry-level assemblers for a 1st or 3rd shift in Tempe, AZ. You will assemble parts for larger equipment in a climate-controlled facility, reading blueprints and using hand and power tools. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and flexibility for overtime.

The position offers a contract-to-hire path, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits. Expect to work in a fully onsite environment with room to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of assembly experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, or related environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and consistently.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• At least 2 years of construction experience or comparable hands-on trade experience.
• Mechanical assembly or mechanic experience with components and systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts fit within larger assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints or technical drawings.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work in a large manufacturing environment (indoor/outdoor).

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts for larger equipment units.
• Use hand and air-powered tools safely.
• Read and interpret tape measurements for precise cuts and assemblies.
• Read blueprints and follow assembly instructions.
• Assist with mechanical assembly, fitting, fastening, and aligning parts.
• Perform basic wiring tasks when needed.
• Operate fabrication and production equipment like band saws and press brakes.
• Support metal fabrication activities and material preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Work overtime to support production deadlines.
