Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Irvine, CA is seeking a second-shift Manufacturing Supervisor to coordinate HNE employees and ensure work is performed in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

You will lead labor assignments, monitor production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as six sigma, lean manufacturing, and VSMs to optimize efficiency, quality and safety. The role requires strict adherence to GMPs and GDPs.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of corporate specifications and plant standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials process.
• Must have good documentation practices.
• Ability to pass visual acuity test and Particulate Matter Certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate labor and assign MAR operators to meet production goals.
• Maintain contact with customer departments regarding product/process issues affecting satisfaction.
• Lead continuous improvement with six sigma, lean manufacturing, VSMs, 6s to reduce waste and improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Schedule production shift and coordinate with support departments to set up actions when targets are not met.
• Identify and communicate issues promptly to avoid production disruption.
• Assign workers to stations to meet requirements and ensure GMPs/GDPs are followed.
• Follow procedures to address regulatory and operational issues; document requirements in Batch folder.
• Monitor and adjust production and material flow to meet daily build plan.
• Update procedures per regulations and Baxter policies.
• Enforce safety regulations and labor-management relations.
• Maintain harassment-free environment and respect for diversity.
• Ensure GMPs, GDPs and EHS requirements are followed.
• Assist root cause analysis and investigations for safety, quality and productivity issues.
