Summary:

In addition to assembly, helps with training Assembly employees and contractors. Tests and inspects fabricated items, maintaining high quality standards. Works with the Production Manager to develop creative solutions to problems. Helps monitor inventory and assists with production planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Monitors inventory levels and submits requisitions as appropriate
  2. Assists the Production Manager with production planning
  3. Manages the execution of the cycle count program
  4. Assists with assembly work as needed
  5. Reads and understands technical drawings
  6. Assembles and documents prototype assemblies as required by Engineering
  7. Inspects materials for defects, non-conformities, and cosmetic issues
  8. Picks up components from inventory, assists in crate and box shipments for delivery
  9. Performs in-process inspection and testing of panels and component sub-assemblies
  10. Uses and maintains advanced shop tools
  11. Provides input to production manager on manufacturing issues and opportunities for improvement
  12. Completes and submits all required documentation
  13. Cleans and maintains production areas, including mopping, sweeping, and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility as needed
  14. Follows documented ISO procedures and assembly instructions

  • Knowledge of and training in ISO and ATEX requirements
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or five years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field, including 3 years’ experience with Toptech product assembly.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 60+ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous materials.
