Job summary

Gensler Kansas City is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead a team of architects and designers from concept through construction administration. You will leverage your design leadership and technical expertise on high-profile projects across mixed-use, hospitality, and workplace interiors in Kansas City and beyond.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client relationship management, and mentorship within a design-driven studio.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university required.
• 12+ years of architecture and design experience with multiple typologies.
• Ability to communicate and present design concepts and rationales.
• Ability to address client requests, budget considerations, and design constraints.
• Knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts.
• Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and/or other modeling software.
• Graphics and visualization skills to communicate ideas.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead assignments including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Provide design support for organization, production and execution of projects.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams and consultants.
• Participate in design iterations using Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Provide vision for proposals and interview strategy to secure opportunities.
• Mentor junior designers and lead multiple projects.
• Nurture and sustain client relations.
• Promote interdisciplinary design approach across the office and firm.
