Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Iowa seeks a Cultural Resource Project Manager to lead multiple cultural resources projects, including archaeological surveys, evaluations, and reporting, while maintaining client relationships and regulatory liaison.

The role requires advanced education in anthropology/archaeology and hands-on supervisory experience, with strong communication, organization, and travel to project sites across the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Anthropology and Archaeology with 2+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Archaeology or related field with 5+ years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Midwest prehistoric and historic periods, artifacts, architectural styles and contexts.
• Experience with State and Federal cultural resource regulations and environmental review processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SOI-qualified Archaeological Principal Investigator for cultural resources projects.
• Coordinate cultural resources research, surveys, excavations, and reporting with project staff.
• Oversee cultural resources construction monitoring, including coordination with crews, site documentation, material identification and report preparation.
• Provide project management support for cultural resource services to internal teams and clients.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for cultural resource tasks.
• Write, review, and assess cultural resources reports prior to submission.
• Travel to project sites and related locations.
• Support and lead cultural resources business development initiatives across company operations.
